Michael Freeman

Senior Advisor, DoD Programs

Mike Freeman is currently the Senior Advisor, Army Programs for A P Ventures. Mike has over thirty years of operational, academic, business and strategic planning experience in the learning and training technology domains. He was recently the VP, Learning Solutions and Chief Learning Officer for Advanced Computer Learning Company (ACLC). Previously, he was contractor program manager for the DoD Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office training technology R&D program and deputy director and program manager for technical support of the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he was responsible for coordinating the efforts of the ADL Co-Laboratories.

A career Army Engineer officer, Mike received his doctorate in Vocational and Technical Education (emphasis on technology mediated learning) from Clemson University. He is a certified Project Management Professional, a certified Defense Acquisition Professional in Program Management and a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the Army Management Staff College and Army Engineer Officer Career Courses.

Mike and his wife, Phyllis, are native South Carolinians and currently reside near Fort Bragg, NC.
