APV receives 5-year training contract from U.S. Air Force

On Friday, September 16, 2022, Columbia, MD based A P Ventures, LLC (APV) announced their award of a five-year contract to provide instructional technology and wargaming support to the U.S. Air Force  Squadron Officer School (SOS) at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Each year between 5,000 and 6,000 captains attend SOS in residence, receiving foundational instruction in the areas of leadership, joint warfare, and design thinking.

Through this contract, APV’s instructional designers and wargaming subject matter experts get to assist in the professional growth of 500–700 captains in each of the eight classes SOS hosts annually. In addition, the contract enables SOS to exploit APV’s research expertise to enhance their institutional effectiveness and improve the student and faculty learning experience.

The contract is a multi-year and multimillion dollars, allowing APV’s delivery team to continue the support they have provided to the SOS for the past three years. Our team members will work alongside government instructional designers to prepare courses for in-class delivery by the school’s military faculty.
