A P Ventures’ Team Member Mike Freeman Completes the All American Marathon

March 29, 2019 – Columbia, MD –  A P Ventures (APV) is proud to announce the impressive accomplishment of our Senior Advisor for DoD Programs, Mike Freeman, in finishing the 2019 All American Marathon at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on March 24, 2019. In preparation for the race, Mike had logged more than 300 training miles over months of disciplined and intense conditioning. After overcoming aches, pains, and a foot injury only three weeks before the race, his determination propelled him to the marathon start line the morning of March 24th.

Mike began his 26.2 mile journey with over 700 other runners in historic downtown Fayetteville. From the start line, his wife Phyllis, who had logged many miles herself on her bike accompanying Mike as he trained, cheered him on. Competing in the 60-65 age group, this was Mike’s very first marathon. Mike wound his way through Fort Bragg and past the home of the 82nd Airborne Division and the legendary Iron Mike statue, ultimately crossing the finish line at the main post parade field. With a finish time of 5:1:43, Mike completed the run near the top half of finishers in his age group and was awarded a finisher’s medal. Mike is a retired career Army engineer officer, and he and Phyllis are Fayetteville residents, so he enjoyed the opportunity to take part in this Fort Bragg community event. APV congratulates Mike on dedication and accomplishments that transcend his service to the company and transpire on the race course!
